Alarcón Criado inaugurates Belén Rodríguez’s first exhibition at its new location at 16 Callao Street. This exhibition brings together the main lines of research developed by the artist during her stay in Japan thanks to The Botín Foundation’s Art Grants. During this period, Rodríguez delved into various traditional Eastern textile techniques, an apprenticeship that has had a decisive influence on the recent evolution of her practice.
Her work has been presented at leading international centres such as Kunsthaus Basel (Switzerland), Art Sonje Centre in Seoul (South Korea), NCG Copenhagen (Denmark), Espacio 23 in Miami (USA) and the Gaîté Lyrique in Paris (France), among others.
In the national context, she has been included in the programmes of institutions such as the CAAC in Seville, the C3A in Córdoba, the Botín Foundation in Santander, the ‘la Caixa’ Foundation in Barcelona, the Patio Herreriano Museum in Valladolid and the Collegium Museum in Arévalo.
Belén Rodríguez’s work can also be found in important public and private collections, including the MNCARS Collection in Madrid, the IVAM in Valencia, the CAAC in Seville, the Bank of Spain, TBA21, the Jorge M. Pérez Collection, the CA2M in Madrid and the Spanish Ministry for Ecological Transition.
