He has built a strong foundation in broadcast journalism, serving in multiple senior editorial and on-air roles. He has worked with reputable media houses in the East African nation, including Ebru Africa Television, TV47 (Mombasa bureau), Boss TV (Mombasa), and Covenant Television Network. Across these platforms, he demonstrated reliability, adaptability, and a strong understanding of broadcast production and audience engagement.

Through collaborative production workflows, he helped strengthen listener engagement and programme consistency.

In addition to broadcasting, Kaindo has vast experience in digital platforms and online publishing. His digital writing experience includes writing for The Bulletin and Farmbiz Africa, where he produced informative and audience-driven articles tailored to diverse readerships. He covered politics, business, travel, culture, and sports for The Bulletin, demonstrating adaptability across subject areas. For Farmbiz Africa, he produced agriculture-focused content that emphasised practical knowledge transfer and peer-to-peer learning, supporting the “teaching farmers through farmers” approach by highlighting real-world agricultural practices and success stories. His work improved content reach through clear structuring, SEO-conscious writing, and reader-focused storytelling.

Beyond presentation, Kaindo has played a critical role in the editorial process. Throughout his career as a journalist, he has developed familiarity with education, healthcare, organisational communications, media relations, and marketing. This exposure has enabled him to craft stories that are both socially relevant and institutionally aligned, while maintaining editorial integrity.

Kaindo also has hands-on experience in marketing and advertising within media environments, supporting brand visibility and audience growth. He has promoted products and services through integrated media campaigns and assisted in aligning content with marketing objectives to drive engagement and awareness. His contributions strengthened audience-focused messaging and brand positioning.

In sports broadcasting, Kaindo is a dedicated football enthusiast who has successfully combined his passion for the sport with professional media experience. He hosted a sports show at CTN TV, delivering football-related content to a broad audience. Through informed analysis, live discussions, and sports storytelling, he engaged viewers and strengthened audience interaction. His energetic and knowledgeable presentation enhanced programme appeal and viewer engagement.

Academically, Kaindo holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication (Broadcast Media) from Daystar University, a Diploma in Mass Communication and Journalism, and a professional certification in conflict-sensitive journalism. He is fluent in two main East African languages, and his approach to issues is shaped by a strong understanding of regional context and cultural sensitivity. These languages allow him to engage with sources and stories from a wide range of cultures firsthand.

Journalism remains at the centre of Kaindo’s expressive nature. In his journalistic work, he offers an objective view that invites audiences to understand their surroundings culturally, politically, socially, and economically. He is a keen observer and constructive critic who reasons and weighs in on issues before placing his own judgement.

Beyond journalism, his interest in photography reflects his artistic nature. Through photographs inspired by nature and humanity, he showcases creativity and emotional depth. Portraiture communicates emotions at a particular point in time, while nature photography connects him with nature in an artistic way. Kaindo loves culture and is deeply drawn to the coastal way of living. His cultural outlook is inspired by the mountains and the oceans, which have shaped who he is today.
