Indipendenza is pleased to announce Kraftwerk. The man machine, a new audio-visual installation by Ralf Hütter, co-founder of the group Kraftwerk, created specifically for the gallery’s space.
The work engages with the Belle Époque architecture of Indipendenza, transforming it into an immersive environment where sound, video, and images merge into a unique perceptual experience, between industrial memory and technological visions.
Founded in Düsseldorf in 1970 through the experiments of Hütter and Florian Schneider, Kraftwerk shaped the boundaries of electronic music with albums such as Autobahn (1974), The robots (1978), and Computer world (1981), blending formal precision, utopia, and critical thought.
Kraftwerk. The man machine brings this vision into an installation form, evoking the idea of a Gesamtkunstwerk, a total artwork where every element contributes to a coherent, immersive experience.
