Kubikgallery presents Perpetuum mobile, a solo exhibition by Brazilian artist Artur Lescher, featuring a selection of recent works, including pieces conceived specifically for the occasion. The exhibition brings together sculptures that reflect the artist’s ongoing investigation into materials, their physical properties, and the relationships they establish with objects and the surrounding space.

Lescher’s practice explores the possibilities of different materials and their interaction with spatial structures. Through the use of tensioned cables, suspended volumes, and contrasting surfaces, his works create visual and physical relationships that challenge conventional perceptions of balance and form. These elements are arranged to establish a dialogue between opposing qualities, bringing together weight and lightness, proximity and distance.

In Perpetuum mobile, the works invite viewers to consider how materials and spatial arrangements can shape the perception of an object and its environment. By exploring the relationships between suspension, tension, and physical presence, Lescher creates compositions in which the elements appear to remain in a continuous state of balance and movement.
