Vasari is pleased to present Intimidades latentes, the first solo exhibition by Chilean photographer Leonora Vicuña at the gallery.
The exhibition features a collection of photographs that Vicuña took between 1978 and 1985 in Chile, against the backdrop of the dark Chilean dictatorship, upon her return after living in Paris. With her camera, she captures the streets, bars, shop windows, and neighborhoods of Santiago as she reconnects with her native country. Through the use of colored pencils, the artist highlights certain details and adds a unique dimension to the images.
With a text by Diego Guerra, the exhibition, which will occupy both rooms of the gallery, can be visited Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Esmeralda 1357, Buenos Aires.
