For her first solo exhibition at OMR, Lost in the forest, Claudia Comte (born 1983, Grancy, Switzerland) presents an ambitious installation that reflects on geological time, the fragility of human impact, and the natural forces that shape and transform our environment. Through her distinctive visual language, the artist offers an immersive experience where art and nature intertwine in a profound and sensory dialogue.

The exhibition marks a significant step in the collaboration between Comte and the gallery, following her participation in Desert flood, the group show organized by LagoAlgo in 2023. There, she presented an immersive installation that anticipated many of the ideas further developed in this new project. In Lost in the forest, the artist expands her exploration of natural cycles, inviting viewers to contemplate the delicate balance between the organic and the artificial.

The exhibition also marks Comte’s formal inclusion in OMR’s roster of represented artists, announced in June 2023. With this show, the gallery reaffirms its commitment to contemporary practices that address ecological challenges through poetic, critical, and sensory perspectives.
