OMR is pleased to present La fiesta y las fieras, the first solo exhibition by artist Dalton Gata at Bodega. This show marks a milestone in the artist's career, establishing his presence in the contemporary art scene with a bold and deeply personal proposal.
Gata’s multidisciplinary practice is defined by the fusion of surrealism, Afro-Caribbean heritage, and his background in fashion design. With these tools, he constructs a unique visual language that challenges traditional ideals of beauty and gender, proposing a radically free and expressive aesthetic.
Through vivid imagery and a narrative rich in symbolism, Gata conjures a universe where memory and myth, pop culture and personal longing coexist seamlessly. The result is a body of work that is emotionally raw and defiantly expressive, inviting the viewer into a space where the intimate and the collective are intertwined in vibrant, liberating tension.
