Echoes: videos from the Han Nefkens Foundation Donation brings together a selection of works from a donation motivated by a deep commitment to supporting public collections.

Thanks to this generous act, the museum has received a set of videos that broaden and enrich understanding of the moving image within contemporary artistic practice through the work of artists from around the world.

These pieces rethink the documentary dimension of video and open the moving image up to more fragmentary and associative forms of construction. Texture, sound and materiality are central to the experience, shifting the idea of a closed narrative towards a more open and permeable form of writing.
