The exhibition brings together the best scientific photographs selected in the twentieth edition of Fotociencia. This national competition is an initiative organized by the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) and the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT) with a dual objective: to bring science closer to the public through scientific photography and to promote within the research community the importance of communicating their work to society as a whole.

The exhibition, composed of 49 photographs divided into the General and Micro categories, is accompanied by explanatory texts prepared by the authors themselves, who have also linked their images to one of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals defined by the United Nations (UN), thus connecting science, global challenges, and society.

Each image offers an artistic, aesthetic, and surprising view of singular scientific phenomena captured by researchers and even photography enthusiasts capable of discovering in everyday life patterns, lights, and forms that reveal the hidden beauty of science.

In a commitment to universal accessibility, Fotociencia includes for the first time embossed versions of the 10 winning works, specially designed so that people with visual disabilities can experience the exhibition through touch. In addition, in line with the same objective of democratizing access to knowledge and removing barriers, admission to this exhibition is free, enabling diverse audiences to approach science from an artistic, innovative, and accessible perspective.
