Dr. Michelle Frank is a dynamic medical professional and FemTech advisor with close to ten years of experience at the intersection of clinical care, digital innovation, and women’s health advocacy. With a passion for reshaping how women engage with their health, Michelle has led and contributed to multiple initiatives centered on education, community, and accessible digital solutions.
Michelle’s journey in FemTech began with her pivotal role at Babygogo, a parenting app that laid the groundwork for her expertise in building women-focused digital communities. There, she responded to thousands of health queries from new mothers, curated medically reliable content, and trained a team of medical interns to uphold the platform’s credibility. Following Babygogo’s acquisition by SHEROES, she was appointed Director of Women’s Health at India’s largest women-only social network.
At SHEROES, Michelle scaled the health community from a modest 5,000 members to a vibrant space of over 750,000 women. She hosted weekly live sessions addressing key concerns in menstrual health, pregnancy, postpartum care, and emotional well-being, while also advising on product development based on user behavior and health needs. Her impact extended beyond the app as she collaborated with healthcare stakeholders to improve outcomes and engagement across the platform. Her leadership created a supportive and trusted environment that empowered women to share, learn, and advocate for their health needs.
Continuing her commitment to empowering women through health information, Michelle joined coto, India’s premier emotional wellness platform, as Category Head of Women’s Health. There, she spearheaded the launch of interactive digital communities while mentoring health professionals to grow their online presence. Additionally, she collaborated on product strategy to enhance the app’s experience for women across reproductive stages. Her work also involved developing partnerships and campaigns that addressed gaps in awareness, access, and representation within the digital health ecosystem.
She believes in designing inclusive solutions that reflect the realities of women from all socioeconomic backgrounds and geographies.
Beyond organizational leadership, Michelle has contributed extensively to global conversations on women’s health. Her insights into menstrual equity, sexual health, fertility, and mental health have been shared across forums, publications, and digital health platforms. She’s known for translating complex medical concepts into accessible narratives that empower women to make informed health decisions. Michelle has also been featured on podcasts, webinars, and panels where she highlights the importance of user-centered design and empathy in building health technologies for women.
In addition to community-building, Michelle currently works as a remote medical advisor to a variety of HealthTech startups, which have included Femia (Cyprus), Perifit (France), Terrapy (India), and Hyfe (USA). Her responsibilities include product strategy, content development, and ensuring that medical integrity remains central to digital innovations targeting women’s health. She brings a keen understanding of how cultural and regional differences affect women’s healthcare needs, helping tailor solutions for greater relevance and impact. Michelle holds a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Seychelles, American Institute of Medicine, and is ECFMG-certified. Her clinical training in India, Seychelles, and Mauritius equips her with a global perspective on healthcare.
