Darling, I’m a nightmare, dressing like a daydream. Born and raised in Buenos Aires, specifically in La Boca, which is the most beautiful neighborhood in the world. I’ve wanted to be a teacher for as long as I can remember. I studied sociology at Buenos Aires University, my degree taught me to think critically, and more than a discipline, I learned a way of seeing the world.

I worked for 10 years in Buenos Aires University’s Academic Affairs Office, 10 intense years during which I learned a lot, especially how to translate academic research into information for decision-making. In 2023, I resigned from that position, seeking new, more flexible, and dynamic ways of working.

In 2024, I started working as an online reading and English Art and Literature tutor for children and teenagers in US schools. Reading helps us to develop empathy, a central feeling for facing the individualistic world we live in, so I am very happy to teach reading to the youngest.

I specialize in teaching social sciences in higher education, but I teach at all educational levels. It's interesting because I work in diverse scenarios: massive courses, very small groups, and individual classes. I am an assistant professor at Buenos Aires University and a professor at the most prestigious foreign language teacher training college in the country (Juan R. Fernández).

As a sociologist and educator, my areas of interest are human rights, political violence processes, and the social construction of collective memory. I am interested in thinking about how we talk about violence in society and how societies talk about the most traumatic episodes of their past. I’m also interested in educational policy and new teaching practices. In 2024, I completed my first postgraduate degree in education. My goal is to continue my postgrad studies, someday earn a PhD, and teach in the faculty where I studied.

I’m really interested in architecture, but from an artistic and historical perspective. I like walking around cities and seeing buildings, houses, and thinking about their style and the message they are trying to tell us. I hope one day I can live in Barbican, one of the most amazing constructions in the world, because I love brutalism and London. In this fantasy, I have a Shiba Inu named Iku, and we walk together to every city’s market.

A few years ago, I became really interested in the history of cinema, especially Argentinian cinema. Sadly, I live in a country with an amazing cinematic patrimony (because its quantity and quality are profuse, diverse, and deep), but more of the 50% of Argentina’s sound cinema is completely lost, and we don’t have any institution to take care of our audiovisual heritage.

I would like to be a book editor if I weren't a sociologist, because in a way, I’m already a writer. My favorite authors are Jonathan Safran Foer, Michel Houellebecq, Eduardo Halfon, and Jeffrey Eugenides. I’m completely obsessed with Arundhati Roy and Minae Mizumura. Also love all kinds of comics (from manga to European graphic novels). Literature occupies an essential place in my life; being a reader is a central part of my identity. I try to read 40 books a year, and generally, I succeed.

I live in Buenos Aires with my husband and our two cats. We love going to the cinema on Sunday mornings, and we are such huge fans of Boca Juniors to the point that we got married on Boca’s fandom day (12/12). My definition of happiness is spending time on the beach in Uruguay with my husband, our best friends, and our lovely nephew Dante. I always laugh in the most solemn moments.
