The work of Rosalía Banet (Madrid, 1972) not only shows and signifies, but above all, it suggests. The series Renacimiento (Renaissance) is the culmination of a discourse oriented towards communion with the environment around us.

From the torsos that Rosalía Banet paints, there emerge the heads of plants, flowering, full of colour and vivacity, expansive. As well, a placid horizontal body becomes a gardening pot, fertilizer, compost for plants. They grow tall and wide, in a display of organic and respectful development. The planet is not a mine of resources, to be exploited and dominated, but rather it is the community of which we form part. We are fragments of a web of life that goes far beyond ourselves; we are earth, and when we die, we will merge with it. From the fusion, other beings will be born, as these works reveal.
