You, the African youth of the 21st century, are the generation for which the ancestors have been waiting. You have the numbers, the consciousness, and the resources to reclaim Africa from colonial and imperial control.

The goal and impact of colonialism and imperialism upon Africa

Colonialism and imperialism are ideologies and practices with the goal of which is to dominate a people through military force, divide and conquer strategies, and the use of Local Betrayers.

The most destructive aspect of colonialism/imperialism is the psychological internalization of the mythology of African inferiority and white superiority by the dominated population.

As a result:

  • A sense of inferiority is introduced to the African psyche.

  • The sense of African “community” is destroyed.

  • African cultural beliefs, values, and customs are devalued and suppressed.

  • There is a loss of indigenous African languages.

  • Replacement of traditional African religious beliefs; the belief in white supremacy is instilled, especially through religious doctrine that the Supreme Being, the Creator, is white.

  • The educational system is used to miseducate the dominated population about their history and culture.

Ultimately, as the colonial political and economic system imposes its culture, values, and institutions, poverty, unemployment, political instability, and dependency characterize the dominated peoples.

The tasks of African youth

This will not be an easy task, because of the actions taken over these many years to deprive you of your power. Unity is the most important element; you must all have the collective consciousness of wanting to unify Africa and reclaim it from the colonial and imperialistic powers. You must understand the ways in which they will attempt to disrupt all of your attempts.

Your task as African youth in the 21st century is to facilitate the renewal and rebirth of Africa. This regenerative process will occur in four stages, which must be done simultaneously.

Protest

You must stage public demonstrations and social media protests and demand the removal of all foreign interests that exploit the nation and its natural resources. You must expose and reject the voices of any and all who are fighting against African unity. You must protest and demand the removal of all leaders who are servants of the colonizers and imperialists.

Support

You must publicly and through social media support all leaders who have made clear their intention to unite Africa and reclaim Africa. Support those leaders who intend to provide the highest quality of life for Africans. Public proclamation and social media are essential to making this task successful.

Research

Yes, research!!! You must realize that everything that has been said and written about African culture and history is a lie told by the colonizers and imperialists. Form study groups to explore and reveal the truth in four areas:

  1. Africa before colonization and Africa’s contribution to world civilization.

  2. The brutal physical, economic, and psychological attacks upon Africans during colonization; the impact of colonization upon the well-being of those suffering under foreign domination; leaders who resisted colonization, their brutalization and elimination.

  3. Examine the leadership after becoming an “independent” nation. Have your progressive leaders who believed in decolonization and the unity of Africans been deposed by coups or assassinated? If so, who replaced these leaders, and what was their relationship with the colonial and imperialistic powers? What foreign interests are still dominant in your country? How do they control the leaders and the wealth of your country?

  4. What is the current quality of life for your people? To what extent are the core and basic needs for housing, food, health care, education, and employment being met? To what extent are the natural resources of your nation being used to provide the best quality of life for your people? If not, how are the resources being used? Who benefits if not the people?

Education

Revealing the truth learned about Africa and Africans is crucial to the regenerative process. Africans have been miseducated in white supremacy ideology and values. These lies told by the colonizers/ imperialists through their writings and the media must be refuted. To be free, Africans must be re-educated in the truth of who they and Africa are. Your role is to use information gained from your study groups to educate the African public.

To reclaim Africa, you must:

  • Return to your cultural traditions, language, ancestors, and spirituality.

  • Rewrite true African history. Refute and unlearn everything you have been taught by the colonizers and imperialists about African inferiority.

  • Refute all beliefs bound to white supremacy, including those related to religious doctrine.

  • Challenge the values and worldviews of colonizers and imperialists.

  • Expel all terrorists from Africa, their sponsors, and local betrayers.

  • Assure that the resources of Africa from this time forward will be used to guarantee the highest quality of life for Africans.

  • Be vigilant of any attempts to create discord, conflict between different ethnic and language groups; do not let anyone or any group fall into the trap of “divide and conquer.”

  • Stop the “brain drain;” talented and skilled Africans must be encouraged to return to Africa.

There can be no compromise as you begin this process. Unity is essential. You must stand together against any attack on the collective consciousness of unity. Dedicate all thoughts and actions to African solidarity, the key to African reincarnation. Make the collective consciousness of “ I am because we are” the rallying call for unity.

African youth must lead the way to reclaim Africa. You are now showing the world that the masses of African youth will support the right leadership to secure your own future as free Africans.
