Our vision to innovate is dependent on our willingness to be pioneers in any given context, whether business, societally, personally, or spiritually. As of this moment, the ideology adopted is one of replication based on an insistence and an immediacy to deliver on short-term targets. To encompass the mindset of visionaries, a balance must be established of both the micro and the macro. For the micro to reflect quantitative success, the macro must be understood as though it were second nature.
The clarity of the macro will help expand the understanding among everyone involved. It’s within the mutual understanding and the forward notion of expanding the mutual understanding where internal politics will disappear, and a renewed motivational willingness to succeed will thrive. Meaning, if everyone is on the same page, knowing where we are headed, and moving at the same rhythm, can we claim to march towards the path of innovation?
The individuals to echo this sentiment are those who have depth, who value meaning, who are aware of their intentionality, and practice conscious engagement. They are visionaries conceptualizing the next business iteration model. They are those willing to be innovative in communication and in practice. To take the daunting risks that may or may not reap the full ownership of the reward. To force the competition into a position to replicate the model. To break free from the old and evolve into the alternative. It’s how leaders are coronated. Appointed by the masses who are in admiration of their thought, inspired by their bravery, and are committed to surging towards the unknown. Venturing into spaces where no one had conceived and dared to trespass.
There is a natural apprehension to mobility, whether physically, mentally, emotionally, or spiritually. An inclination to remain where comfort lives. Although basic in thought, it is grounded in logic. There is no need to escape the clutches of the familiar if contentment is frequently available. There is no desire to invite the dangers of the unknown into the sphere of the commonly seen, felt, and heard. The conclusion to be drawn from this relatable logic is that contentment is the ceiling of our goals, and comfort is the anchor limiting our ascension.
Given the aforementioned ideological mindset of the majority, that of acquiescing to the force of convenience, there is a lack of motivational incentive to seek out alternatives. There is a frightful distrust in those preaching an innovative push and wishing to move forward towards actualizing that sentiment. If the inclination knocks at the forefront of your mind, take a thorough look at how the sociologists, psychologists, and thinkers have all concluded that the majority directs the course of humanity. Even if the minority is proven to be correct, articulate, and accurate, it doesn’t matter. Because the voices of the many, even in their acknowledgment that the minority is right, will adopt functional stupidity out of fear of breaking away from belonging to the many. This reaction stems from a necessity for reassurances. A common misconception is that if everyone is onboard, then little wrong could occur. And should there be a downfall, they will not be alone to experience it.
Presently, we are deeply entrenched in confusion. That comfort equates to safety, and convenience with intelligence. So, when the utterance of innovation is echoed, it is received as though it presents a spiking danger, a stunted inefficiency, and delusional idealism. For the innovative visionaries to calm the fearful, personal conviction regarding their identity’s foundational values is the primary imperative. As in, understanding the base of their intentionality: their morals, ethics, values, desires, ambitions, hopes, dreams, weaknesses, soft spots, shortcomings, inadequacies, addictions.
Essentially, knowing who they are. For them to have the intention to explore and solidify their foundation, clarity must greet their spirit. Through the acceptance, adaptive interpretation, and grounded application, self-development will thrive. There exists a danger that the intensity of the clarity and the person’s eager enthusiasm could derail their personal evolutionary path. Think of it as someone waking up from a prolonged coma, refreshed and delighted to have discovered that they are alive but are struggling to find their footing.
It could result in abandoning the blessing they received and reverting back to the familiarity of their former selves. Forever attached to the reactionary mindset of avoidance. Only those who are grounded, able to adapt, and, above all, fully accept clarity will be able to succeed in understanding their identity’s foundation.
Once the base is firmly established, when it becomes undeniable, a desired end path is revealed. The desired final destination is unquestionable in the mind, felt in the heart, and organically nourished in the soul. And so begins the cartography. Mapping out the journey and deciding who will walk beside you. The enrichment from a collective bound by a shared ideology toward the pursuit of innovation shapes the course of humanity toward evolution. One that is engaging, significant, and restorative in the scope of reclaiming our faith in humanity. There will be those who would have a pull to walk ahead of or behind you. It is vital that the leaders, the visionaries, and the innovators remind those who took the decision to walk beside you to remain at your side.
These thoughts aren’t intended to disrupt the existing model; it is to provide an alternative. One that champions the thinkers, fighters, and nourishers. One that acts responsibly for the betterment of mankind. One that invites people to meaning, significance, purpose, direction, and a rediscovery of our intended appreciation for humanity. The integrity of the vision, the accurate articulation of the intent, and the relentless devotion are the fundamental cornerstones to initiate the practice of innovation.
