Norval Foundation is proud to collaborate with Cape Grace, A Fairmont Managed Hotel, on an evolving presentation of contemporary African art that extends beyond the museum walls and into one of Cape Town’s most iconic hospitality destinations.

The collection brings together works by leading artists from across the continent, creating moments of discovery throughout the hotel’s public spaces and guest areas. Recent additions by Nicholas Hlobo, Dada Khanyisa, and Zanele Muholi join works by Maja Marx, Lulama Wolf, Galia Gluckman, Tafadzwa Tega, Nabeeha Mohamed, Teresa Kutala Firmino, and others, offering visitors an opportunity to engage with diverse artistic voices and perspectives.

Curated by Lezanne van Heerden, the collection celebrates the breadth of contemporary African creativity through a variety of mediums, materials, and narratives. From intricate textile and mixed-media works to photography and painting, the artworks invite guests to slow down, look closer, and experience the stories, craftsmanship, and imagination embedded within each piece.
