Alzueta Gallery Paris is pleased to present Moll de l’os, an exhibition of new works by Claudia Valsells. The opening will take place on 30 May, and the exhibition will be on view at 8 rue des Beaux-Arts, in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Prés.
“Moll de l’os brings together a body of paintings made throughout 2026 that investigate the capacity of color to hold experience. With no predetermined subject matter and no representational intent, the works emerge as records of a process sustained over time — one in which painting has become a space of attention and transformation.
In these mid-scale formats, the pictorial matter concentrates gesture, silence and presence, inviting the viewer into a direct encounter with what is essential. These are emotional registers, sediments of a lived process.
For me, painting is a way of drawing closer to the core — to the marrow of each piece. It is how I test the possibility of continuing to paint, even when it is difficult.
With Moll de l’os, I point to the place where artistic practice confronts its own nucleus — where colour does not explain: it insists.
My hope is that the viewer, too, might connect with their own marrow, and find a personal experience that reaches beyond a purely visual reading.”
