Spazio Amanita is pleased to present 9 paintings of drapery and eggs, a solo exhibition by British artist Justin Bradshaw opening on December 3, 2025 at the gallery’s Rome space on Via dei Banchi Vecchi 24. The exhibition will remain on view through February 7, 2026, offering visitors an intimate encounter with a focused body of new work that continues Bradshaw’s exploration of everyday subjects and carefully rendered painterly details.
In this series, Bradshaw brings together a compelling interplay of drapery and eggs—motifs that recur throughout his practice as carriers of symbolic weight and visual potency. Drapery, with its folds and surface complexity, evokes both presence and absence, while the egg, a timeless emblem of fragility and origin, introduces a quiet meditation on form and stillness. Through his vivid compositions, Bradshaw engages viewers in a nuanced investigation of interior space and the materiality of paint, inviting reflection on perception, memory, and the poetics of ordinary objects.
9 paintings of drapery and eggs reaffirms Spazio Amanita’s ongoing commitment to showcasing distinctive contemporary painters whose work challenges and expands the language of modern painting. With this exhibition, the gallery continues to foster meaningful dialogues between international artistic practices and Rome’s vibrant cultural landscape.
