David Delfín, en tránsito is a project by Josep Casamartina i Parassols and Ismael Núñez Muñoz, developed by the Fundació Antoni de Montpalau.
The exhibition has a strong installation-based character and is closely tied to the historic spaces of the Museo Patio Herreriano. It accompanies and complements the premiere at SEMINCI of the documentary David Delfín. Muestra tu herida, produced by RTVE and directed by César Vallejo de Castro, Ángela Gallardo Bernal, and Rafael Muñoz Rodríguez.
The Fundació Antoni de Montpalau, recognized as the country’s most significant fashion collection, holds more than twenty thousand garments, along with an equal number of accessories and archival materials spanning from the twentieth century to the present. It houses an important collection of David Delfín’s garments, accessories, and documentation, which forms the basis of the exhibition’s curatorial narrative. The exhibition includes numerous iconic outfits and pieces, as well as accessories, objects, and collaborations, offering a comprehensive overview of the designer, his brand, and his collaborators, some of whom have also contributed works.
