Form and colour form the starting point of the new collection presentation. The focus is on works from the 1970s to the present day – including numerous new additions in recent years. Works by Joseph Egan, Marcia Hafif and Verena Loewensberg, among others, can be discovered on the upper floor.

On the lower floor, forms enter into an exchange in sculptures, drawings and installations, with works by Silvia Bächli, Eric Hattan, Harald Naegeli, Roman Signer and many other artists. The dialogue between mediums and generations highlights the versatility of contemporary approaches to abstraction and figuration, showing how form and colour remain central yet continually evolving elements of artistic expression.

The presentation also underlines the museum’s commitment to building a dynamic collection that resonates with both historical significance and current artistic practices. Visitors are invited to reflect on how the interplay of form, colour, and material continues to shape our understanding of art in ever-changing cultural contexts.
