Last year brought new growth to Pippin Contemporary with an expansive relocation and along with it, a rising reputation as one of Santa Fe’s leading contemporary art galleries. The gallery has more than doubled its artist roster since its relocation in 2016, honoring its commitment to maintaining a space that provides “a sensory experience of color and mood” for gallery visitors.

This year, however, Pippin Contemporary extends its presence beyond the gallery walls and even the region as it enters the international contemporary art conversation. From December 6-10, the gallery will feature eight represented artists at Red Dot Miami, a modern art show that takes place during Miami Art Week.

Miami Art Week is an annual event that draws art collectors and enthusiasts from all over the world who seek a dynamic arts experience. Top fairs including Art Miami and Art Basel in Miami Beach, gallery and museum exhibitions, satellite art shows, performing arts events and thriving nightlife are the biggest draws to the area this time of year. Red Dot Miami, owned by Redwood Media Group, features over 50 international galleries at its satellite show that “aims to play a key role in the rich array of Miami Art Week events.” Now in its 12th year, Red Dot Miami also hosts Art Labs, Art Talks and other special events throughout the week, enticing the affluent art crowds who descend by the thousands upon Miami’s Arts & Entertainment District every December. “Out of town art fairs are a great way to expose our artists to collectors who may not travel to Santa Fe,” says gallery owner Aleta Pippin. “Redwood Media Group makes every effort to offer show venues that provide participants the opportunity for a successful show.”

Pippin Contemporary will feature eight artists at Red Dot Miami: painters Aleta Pippin, Cody Hooper, Bassmi and Liz Barber along with sculptors Greg Reiche, Suzanne Wallace Mears, Nic Noblique and painter-sculptor duo Childers-West. Pippin Contemporary entered the art fair circuit in October of this year at Art San Diego and has also been invited to attend Artexpo Las Vegas in 2018.

Pippin Contemporary, founded in May 2011 by artist Aleta Pippin, is located in the heart of the historic Canyon Road art district in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The gallery is committed to showing art that is fresh and vibrant, as well as collectible. Pippin Contemporary artists provide visitors with a “sensory experience of color and mood” through vivid portrayals of personal expression.
