We are pleased to announce the opening of the exhibition Sculpture and architecture between East and West, featuring artists Park Eun Sun and Mario Botta, which will be held at the Gabriele and Anna Braglia Foundation in Lugano from September 17th to December 19th, 2026. The exhibition serves as the natural continuation of a project launched in May 2025 at the Contini Gallery, where Swiss architect and designer Mario Botta presented the drawings and scale model for the Museo iinfinito (Infinite museum), a museum dedicated entirely to South Korean sculptor Park Eun Sun, scheduled to open in 2027 in Sinan County, South Korea.

The exhibition explores the dialogue between sculpture and architecture through the distinct yet complementary practices of Park Eun Sun and Mario Botta. Their collaboration highlights the relationship between artistic creation and spatial design, bringing together sculptural forms and architectural visions that engage with questions of balance, proportion, materiality, and cultural exchange.

By bringing these two figures into conversation, the project also reflects on the connections between Eastern and Western artistic traditions. The presentation at the Gabriele and Anna Braglia Foundation offers an opportunity to discover the conceptual foundations of the Museo infinito while considering how art and architecture can shape spaces for contemplation, encounter, and dialogue across different cultural contexts.
