Rishav Chandra is a strategic communications expert with a diverse portfolio spanning various sectors like design, diplomacy, public policy, sports, media, and art direction. With an MA in Communication & Experience Design from Goldsmiths, University of London, Rishav’s career is a testament to his multidisciplinary approach, creative vision, and commitment to impactful storytelling.

Rishav’s journey began in the culturally rich northern part of Bihar, Mithila, India. His early years were marked by an astute passion for the arts and engagements with the humanities, including recitals and theatrical performances. A proud alumnus of Rajghat Besant School, Krishnamurti Foundation India, he graduated with distinction and served two consecutive terms as the Editor-in-Chief of the school magazine Palash. He also played an integral role in the school’s 3-time National Football Championship-winning team (2012–2014).

During his undergraduate degree at the University of Delhi, he served as the cultural president of the university’s student union (2016–17), India’s largest student governing body. Simultaneously, he served as Creative Director for TEDxSVC, curating talks that explored innovation, culture, and cross-disciplinary ideas. At Goldsmiths, University of London, Rishav was awarded the prestigious Gold Award in 2019 for academic and creative excellence. During his time at Goldsmiths, his works were globally showcased, including at the International Design Biennale 2019 in Gwangju, South Korea.

Professionally, Rishav has played key roles in India's public policy and political landscape. He led primary insights research for I-PAC, where he helped build the organisational cadre for Jan Suraaj, now Bihar’s front-runner political movement, playing a critical role in the party’s first successful electoral campaign in the MLC elections. He later led the Vidhan Sabha Assembly Polls, as the state lead on one of the toughest elections from the party's perspective, to victory in Chhattisgarh.

In 2024, Rishav was part of the Research & Special Operations unit for the Prime Minister of India’s winning campaign, overseeing four states—Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, and Chhattisgarh. He developed strategies along with politicians and industry leaders and advised the world’s largest political party on Lok Sabha General Elections. Producing the second-best performance in terms of vote share in the party's history.

Rishav has also represented the Indian delegation at the Indo-German Young Leaders' Summit 2024, featuring bilateral consultations ranging from digital transformation, cybersecurity, climate action, cultural diplomacy, and soft power. He was conferred with the inaugural Ideas & Innovation Award, powered by the Federal Embassy of Germany, New Delhi, and the Indian Embassy, Berlin, for a pitch on compliance and regulatory reforms to enhance bilateral economic relations. Most recently, Rishav was inducted into the Class of 2025 UK-India Achievers Honours at the House of Lords, UK Parliament. Jointly commissioned by NISAU, the

Government of the United Kingdom and British Council, the award recognises exceptional contributions made by Indians in the field of governance and politics.

In the cultural heritage space, Rishav serves as the business and media advisor for Tales of Cities, an initiative that transforms heritage conservation into immersive, participatory practice. He's helped scale flagship programmes such as Dastarkhwan‑e‑Jahaanuma and Jahaanuma Mehfil—culinary heritage experiences that revive imperial Mughlai recipes and oral traditions, guided by renowned historians like Rana Safvi and cultural revivalists like Abu Sufiyan.

Rishav’s personal and professional journey is a testament to his versatility, creativity, and leadership. His work as a multidisciplinary artist and strategic policy expert continues to inspire and influence. As an author and thought leader, Rishav Chandra embodies the spirit of impactful storytelling, making him a unique and influential voice in Indian intelligentsia.
