Silent presences a solo show of artworks by Cristiano De Gaetano, twelve years after his untimely death.

This exhibition features works from his photographic debut in 2004 to his latest paintings, produced for his last solo exhibition at our gallery in 2010.

At that time, De Gaetano primarily used wax and play-dough in most of his compositions, a material that allowed him to combine diverse techniques in the creative process, such as projecting images of portraits onto wood cutouts, which he later covered with plasticine. Some paintings in the show are also acrylics on canvas or oil paintings on wood cutouts.

We hope that this exhibition will lead to the rediscovery of his artistic practice and his imaginative abilities and great talent.

This exhibition follows two solo shows held in Puglia: one at Fondazione Pino Pascali in Polignano a Mare in 2017, curated by Christian Caliandro, and another at Palazzo Ducale in Martina Franca in 2024, curated by Sara De Carlo, in collaboration with Fondazione Paolo Grassi and Festival Valle d'Itria.

The exhibition will be open until June 20.
