The 16th edition of the international contemporary art fair ArtVilnius’25 will take place from 3 October to 5 October at the Exhibition and Congress Centre Litexpo in Vilnius.
Widely regarded as the most important visual arts event in the Baltics, ArtVilnius’25 will feature the latest and most exciting developments in contemporary art, bringing visitors face to face with leading international galleries, artists, curators, and representatives of art institutions.
Each year, the fair gathers around 70 art galleries and institutions from over 20 countries and attracts 18,000–23,000 visitors of all ages.
The ArtVilnius’25 programme will centre on an in-depth discussion about collecting art in the Baltic States. While collecting has always been a key theme in art fairs, this year it takes centre stage and will be explored across all segments of ArtVilnius.
As part of ArtVilnius‘25, Hall 4 will host the Project Zone, showcasing some of the most compelling private and institutional contemporary art collections from Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia. This year, the Project Zone will be curated by three curators: Maria Arusoo – exhibition curator, playwright, head of the Estonian Centre for Contemporary Art, and chair of the Estonian Pavilion at the 60th Venice Biennale; Inga Lāce – curator of international exhibitions from Latvia and Chief Curator at the Almaty Museum of Arts, Kazakhstan; and Sonata Baliuckaitė – long-time artistic director and curator of ArtVilnius’25 from Lithuania.
In the outdoor area of Litexpo, visitors can explore the annual group exhibition of sculpture, performance, and installation, The path. This curated exhibition features works chosen by the selection committee from submitted applications.
Over its three-day run, ArtVilnius’25 offers visitors, guests, and collectors the chance to purchase artworks while immersing themselves in the region’s dynamic art scene – both at the fair and throughout Vilnius. Located just 15 minutes from Vilnius city center, Litexpo provides 12,000 square metres of indoor and outdoor exhibition space, serving as Lithuania’s premier venue for large-scale cultural events.
ArtVilnius’25 is organised by the Lithuanian Art Gallerists’ Association.
