Eleni Marneri Galerie presents the new collection of contemporary ceramic objects of the painter and ceramist Katerina Giannaka.

Katerina Giannaka was born in Larissa. She studied painting at Athens School of Fine Arts. Her professors in painting were N.Nikolaou and G. Morali, in set and costume design was V. Vassiliadis and in mosaic was G Kolefas. She continued her mosaic studies in Ravenna with P.Ragagni as a professor.

The past 25 years, she lives and works in Aegina. She has made so far 10 solo painting exhibition in Larissa, Ioannina, Aegina and Athens and 5 exhibition of pottery at Nafplio, Athens, Aegina. Her works can be found in the collections of Larissa Gallery, The Benaki Museum, the Peloponissian Folklore Foundation and in private collections in Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, Armenia, France and Switzerland.

In 2012, she participated in the National Ceramic Contest in Athens where she won the second prize and in 2013 where she had the first prize. Her parallel love for painting and sculpture for painting and sculpture though her unique, handmade and hand painted ceramics.
