Euripides' Greek tragedy is the starting point to artist Regina Parra's first solo show at Galeria Millan. She presents three original sets of paintings, neon lights, a video and a performance which was made in partnership with artist Ana Mazzei and nine other women.

The title of the exhibition is in the singular form, suggesting the artist's interest lies not on the plot of the theater play, but mainly on one character: the baccha.

Untamable and lustful, the baccha is, furthermore, a political being.

In a country where women are battered, assaulted and executed on a daily basis, the statement of the power of the female body may be a possibility of escape and resistance.

Coming out as open-lustful-body. Remaining open-lustful-body, in spite of everything.
