The majority of the art objects represented in the exhibition are associated with the unique cultural phenomenon which emerged in the Middle Ages in the mountain village of Kubachi (the central part of the region now inhabited by the Dargins) in Daghestan.

Exhibited in rooms 58-59 is the collection of stone reliefs and bronze cauldrons. Created in Kubachi, these art objects were executed in two traditional styles characteristic of this culture. In the 19th century the inhabitants of Kubachi were engaged in the decoration of weapons and jewelry making as evidenced by the exhibits in the cases of room 60.
