On July 26th at 6.30 pm the exhibition Un’etica per la natura opens to public in Grizzana Morandi, a true event since for the first time Giorgio Morandi’s House Museum will host the work of another artist, in close liaison with the expositive path of the Campiaro Barns. Once again, the town of Grizzana looks upon the landscape and nature as valuable assets to be protected and enhanced in order to guarantee the survival of the human species, and it does so through the languages of contemporary art turning to nature as an expressive resource of immeasurable depth.
Last year’s exhibition Il paesaggio necessario presented artists who see the landscape as something essential to life, a natural and cultural system drenched in beauty; now “Un’etica per la natura” shows works that range from visual to sense relationships alluding to behaviors and evaluations that transcend popular habits to develop new possibilities, an imagination fed by utopic or realistic views.
A story, a journey un ravels, starting with the sentimental places and the poetic identity of videomaker and performer Elisa Laraia, in a video shown in the living room of the House of Giorgio Morandi.
An event suggesting how Morandi and the places where he lived can generate empathy, shock, and creative energies in the present and future times. From the Morandi’s House Museum to the Campiaro Barns, located in front of the House, that he painted and etched countless times. Davide Monteleone’s works will be exhibited here. His pictures marked by severity and sympathy were taken in Russia to freeze landscapes as melancholic as the human beings.
Also in the Barns, paintings and digital paintings by Karin Andersen, the artist who reinvents the planet and populate it with new creatures, genetic crosses between reality and fiction, history and utopia; the oil paintings by Ettore Frani, painter of relations with the sacred, who represents the concept of being in the world through the impalpable veil of an austere and involved spiritual participation; sculptures by Silvia Zagni, natural elements transformed by the ceramic material in mild and fragile fantastic morphologies, and outdoor installations tracing esoteric footprints in a dialogue with the space and atmosphere of the Barns.
