The gallery is delighted to present a selection of works by Alékos Fassianós (1935–2022), produced during the 1980s and 1990s at the Atelier Elsa Ancia. A close friend and collaborator of the artist, Ancia played an important role in the creation of these works, which reflect the intimacy and creativity of their long-standing relationship.

A key figure in modern Greek art, Fassianós is renowned for his instantly recognizable visual language, characterized by stylized figures and bold lines. Drawing inspiration from Greek mythology, daily life, and traditional motifs, his works evoke a poetic vision of contemporary identity that merges the classical and the modern.

The exhibition offers viewers a rare opportunity to encounter a pivotal body of work that captures the essence of Fassianós’ artistic vision. Rooted in the cultural and visual heritage of Greece, these pieces testify to a legacy that continues to influence generations of artists and remains deeply embedded in the narrative of contemporary art.
