Galerie Derouillon presents Project 9, a group exhibition bringing together works by Alex Foxton, Mathilde Albouy, Anastasia Bay, and Julian Farade at the Hôtel Cromot du Bourg in Paris. On view from September 7 to December 18, 2026, the exhibition brings together four artists whose distinct approaches explore the possibilities of contemporary painting and sculpture.

Through their individual practices, the artists investigate the body, identity, emotion, and the relationships between form and meaning. Alex Foxton’s paintings reconsider traditional representations of masculinity, revealing the psychological complexity and vulnerability of their figures. Anastasia Bay creates expressive scenes populated by enigmatic characters, using simplified forms and vivid gestures to convey emotional intensity and challenge established social conventions.

Mathilde Albouy’s sculptures play with scale, materials, and ambiguity, creating objects that move between attraction and unease, while questioning the cultural narratives embedded in forms and objects. Julian Farade’s colorful compositions move between abstraction and figuration, bringing together recurring motifs and human figures in dense, expressive arrangements. Presented together, these practices offer a multifaceted encounter with contemporary artistic languages and the ways images and objects can open up new perspectives on human experience. The exhibition is held at Galerie Derouillon’s Hôtel Cromot du Bourg location and is accessible by appointment only.
