The treasury of the Silla millennium is a state-of-the-art storage facility designed to securely house and effectively manage the cultural properties discovered in the Gyeongsang-do area. This facility plays a crucial role in preserving the region’s invaluable archaeological and historical treasures, ensuring that these artifacts are kept in optimal conditions for future generations.
Inside the Treasury, visitors will find various specialized areas, including an open storage space, an exhibition hall, a collection registration office, and a reading room. In addition, there are several associated facilities, such as nine storage rooms, a disinfection room, a photographic studio, and archives. These areas are designed to support both the preservation and study of the artifacts, offering a comprehensive approach to the care of these cultural objects.
The Treasury also houses a wide array of archaeological artifacts from renowned museums such as the Daegu National Museum, Jinju National Museum, and Gimhae National Museum.
