The Club is pleased to present “Dialogue,” a group show introducing Brazilian artists. On this occasion, we have Antonio Dias and Mira Schendel, two critically acclaimed artists that have been active internationally since the 1960s, the heyday of the Concretismo Brazilian Art Movement.

Their influence, and in particular their work's relationship with Japanese poetry, is clearly explored by the work of young duo Angela Detanico and Rafael Lain. Although from different generations, they all share similar experiences of living both in Brazil and Europe and working in multilingual surroundings.

We invite you to enjoy the dialogue between these conceptual artists, each of whom addresses the underlying possibilities of language, not only in the way words' meanings and their phonetics are related and give birth to each other, but also finding ways to visually sublimate that process in their art.
