During his more-than-thirty years of career, Charles Fazzino has become one of the most popular and highly-collected pop artists. He enchants us with his 3-dimensional representation of a colourful, humoristic, and glittering world.

In the late 80’s he started capturing the spirit of his own city, NYC, with irony, picturing many details, like shops, people, traffic, monuments, evocating the Big Apple frantic atmosphere... Later, he got interested by depicting other American, European or Asian cities.

Sports, cinema, medicine, music, comics... are among his favourite themes.

After several sketches in his unique cartoon style, silkscreen prints in colour or black and white are made. He generally uses a thick paper, but he also plays with aluminium sheets for a shiny effect.

For each pictures, several prints are hand-cut in tiny elements that are then mounted in layers to create depth and 3D. Swarovski crystals and glitter then embellish the top layer.

Charles Fazzino is often referred to as a historical pop culture artist because of the recognition of his work. His main influences are Andy Warhol, Keith Haring, Red Grooms, and Robert Rauschenberg... Charles Fazzino’s artworks are exhibited in many museums and galleries (Coral Springs Museum of Art, Florida, Museum of Art, Fort Lauderdale, Mont St Michel Museum, France...) in more than twenty different countries (USA, Taiwan, Korea, Japan, France, Germany, UK, Belgium, Spain, USA...).

He has received many private and important commissions (American airlines in JFK international airport, Paul Mc Cartney, Morgan Freeman...) and has been selected as the official artist for festivals and events all over the world (Olympic games, Emmy awards, Singapore 50th birthday...). He has been represented by Galerie Artima for more than twenty years.
