Conduit Gallery presents Class!, a group exhibition organized around subjects and memories from the school day. On view throughout August, the exhibition brings together works by 16 artists, including HL Santiago Martínez, Jennie Ottinger, Ludwig Schwarz, Michael Roch, W. Tucker, Rosalyn Bodycomb, Jeff Gibbons, J.C. Fontanive, Annabel Daou, Billy Hassell, Kirk Hayes, Jules Buck Jones, Stephen Lapthisophon, C. Meng, Steven J. Miller and Dr. Fahamu Pecou.

Rather than focusing on a single artistic medium or approach, Class! draws on the familiar subjects, objects and experiences associated with school. The exhibition uses the school day as a point of departure, bringing together different artistic perspectives around a shared cultural experience and inviting visitors to reconsider the everyday imagery and memories connected to education.

The exhibition also extends beyond the gallery through a collaboration with United to Learn, an organization that has worked with Dallas ISD for more than a decade to support students, teachers and schools. Throughout August, Conduit Gallery is hosting a school supply drive benefiting Dallas ISD elementary students, with donations accepted at the gallery.

Through this combination of contemporary art and community engagement, Class! transforms the familiar world of the classroom into a setting for artistic exploration.
