Blond Contemporary presents Light of day. Summer show, an exhibition bringing together a selection of the gallery’s latest acquisitions at its 7 Piccadilly Arcade space in London. Bringing together works that span different generations and approaches to modern and contemporary art, the exhibition highlights the gallery’s ongoing interest in colour, form, rhythm and expressive intensity. Among the works on view are rare prints by Bridget Riley and David Hockney, alongside original works by Daniel Crews-Chubb and Rainer Fetting, creating a dialogue between established practices and distinct approaches to image-making.

The exhibition brings together artists whose practices have approached perception and representation through markedly different visual languages. Bridget Riley’s prints extend her longstanding investigation into colour, optical perception and the relationship between geometric structures and the viewer’s experience, while David Hockney’s works reflect his sustained engagement with the possibilities of image-making across different media. Alongside these works, the paintings of Daniel Crews-Chubb and Rainer Fetting introduce more gestural and materially expressive approaches, allowing colour, surface and the physical act of painting to become central elements within the exhibition.
