This exhibition highlights the work of two vibrant Goolugatup collectives: Swan River Print and Third Hand Jewellery Studio.
Swan River Print, founded in 2018, is an artist-run, not-for-profit printmaking studio where members explore both traditional and experimental techniques. The studio fosters collaboration through special projects, open workshops, and annual exhibitions, and is home to historic presses including a 1957 Columbian Press and a 1950s etching press.
Third Hand Jewellery Studio brings together contemporary jewellers Claire Townsend, Kate Sale, and Susannah Kings-Lynne, whose diverse practices converge in a shared commitment to creativity, skill-sharing, and mentorship. Their studio is a platform for both personal artistic growth and community engagement, offering workshops, tuition, and collaborative projects.
This exhibition invites visitors to explore the creativity, craftsmanship, and collaborative spirit that define both collectives. Through printmaking and jewellery, it celebrates the dedication, experimentation, and innovation that flourish within Goolugatup, offering a window into the processes and stories behind these exceptional artistic practices.
