Johan Tahon (1965, BE), lives and works in Munkzwalm, Belgium.
He studied sculpture at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts (KASK) in Ghent. His work is on display in public collections worldwide and found home at various private collections. The sculptures of Johan Tahon are powerful and expressive. The construction and craftsmanship remain clearly visible, as does the hand of the artist. In essence Tahon’s work forms a continuous quest towards a higher truth and a deep sensibility for the existential state of humanity.
Michael Kirkham (1971, UK), lives and works in Berlin, Germany.
He completed his education at the Glasgow School of Art and De Ateliers, Amsterdam. His work has been exhibited in public and private collections in The Netherlands, Germany and New York. An important aspect of Kirkham’s work is the use of light, yet the source of it differs in every work. Often highly regarded for their uncompromising nature, Michael Kirkham’s paintings give a delicate insight into the dark corners of human existence.
