At the close of 2025, La Châtaigneraie joins forces with the discerning eye of Emmanuel d’Autreppe to present the exhibition Le cœur et le cru. Bringing together eight multidisciplinary artists, the show unfolds across a rich spectrum of practices, including photography, drawing, painting, video, publishing, and installation. Each contribution forms part of a collective reflection shaped by sensitivity, intuition, and an attention to the subtle textures of lived experience.
In an age marked by digital illusions and rapid technological transformations, the exhibition invites viewers to slow down and reengage with craftsmanship, intimacy, and presence. The works resist spectacle, instead privileging gestures that are fragile, attentive, and deeply human. Through their varied approaches, the artists explore themes of life and connection, addressing the vulnerability of both individuals and the world they inhabit.
Guided by light and instinct, the exhibition moves between lingering pain and moments of emerging tenderness. Each artist offers a quiet narrative, revealing what can truly be felt rather than explained. Together, these works give form to that elusive essence—something fleeting and delicate—that often escapes our grasp, yet defines our most profound experiences.
