Inman Gallery is pleased to present The long view, the gallery’s inaugural exhibition in its new home. Conceived as an expansive survey, the exhibition brings together works by 37 artists, offering a broad perspective on the gallery’s program and the ideas that have shaped it over time. The Long View reflects both continuity and change, honoring the gallery’s history while looking ahead to its future.
The exhibition marks a significant milestone as Inman Gallery celebrates its 35th anniversary. Since its founding, the gallery has remained committed to supporting artists across generations, fostering long-term relationships, and engaging critically with contemporary art practices. This exhibition underscores the depth, diversity, and lasting impact of that commitment.
The long view also inaugurates the gallery’s new space at 1502 Alabama, located in Houston’s Midtown district. Designed by Dillon Kyle Architects, the building—formerly home to the Station Museum—provides a dynamic architectural setting that expands the possibilities for exhibition and dialogue. The new space signals an exciting new chapter for Inman Gallery, rooted in its legacy and open to new directions.
