Wu Tsang and Enrique Fuenteblanca present an intervention within the Kunsthaus Zürich’s ReCollect! series, combining works from the collection with a newly developed sound installation. La montaña invertida transforms the dome hall into a space for listening, sensing and rethinking.

A return with a new perspective

Wu Tsang, resident director at Schauspielhaus Zürich from 2019 to 2024, returns to Heimplatz with curator and dramaturge Enrique Fuenteblanca. As part of the ReCollect! series, they present La montaña invertida, an intervention that brings together works from the Kunsthaus collection and a newly conceived sound installation.

The starting point is the motif of the mountain – a symbol of retreat, sublimity and myth. Tsang and Fuenteblanca reverse the viewpoint: what does it mean to see from below, to “see with your ears”? Their intervention opens new perspectives – beyond the dominant narratives.
