Over the past two decades, Gallery Ver has been a platform for contemporary artists to create, experiment and exchange ideas freely. It began as a publishing station producing Ver magazine and simultaneously operated as a production house for both Thai and international artists. Ver has also served as a station for people to come, exchange ideas, and engage in dialogue.

Since its founding in 2006, Ver has continuously transformed both its role and physical presence, moving across different locations before becoming the contemporary art gallery it is today — a place that maintains flexibility, openness, and ongoing support for contemporary artists.

To celebrate our 20th anniversary, Gallery Ver is honored to have Rirkrit Tiravanija, artist and co-founder of Gallery Ver, as the curator of The abyss is calling. The exhibition features works by 47 artists who have previously collaborated with the gallery, reflecting the memories and interactions between people and space.

Bringing together over 50 works, including paintings, sculptures, installations, video art, and archival materials, the exhibition acts as a resonance, inviting viewers to reflect on the stories and connections between artists, curators, collectors, and audiences who have engaged with Gallery Ver over the past 20 years.
