The Fondation Marguerite et Aimé Maeght, inaugurated in 1964 by André Malraux, is the first foundation in France dedicated to modern and contemporary art; it is recognized as a public-interest organization by ministerial decree. Since 1982, Mr. Adrien Maeght, son of Marguerite and Aimé Maeght, has served as Chairman of the Foundation’s Board of Directors.
