I am Utkarsha Kesarkar. I am awarded by the United Nations, Royal Commonwealth Society, Government of India, Mayor of Thane Municipal Corporation among others. I have appeared on international and national channels like MTV, Times Mirror NOW, and Indian Parliament’s official channel Rajya Sabha TV. I am published in India’s most-read lifestyle newspaper Bombay Times. At the young age of 18, I am honoured by the Consulate of France to Mumbai with an invitation to celebrate French National Day at Taj Mahal, Palace, Mumbai. Recently I presented my Research Presentation on Blogs by Dalit Writers at LeaDME International Media Conference – an event promoted by the Consulate of Sweden to Mumbai. These moments reflect the diversity of my work and the recognition it has received, which continues to motivate me to grow as a writer and a journalist with a purpose.
In the vast spectrum of lifestyle, I write about luxury, culture, personality profiles, urban landscapes & architectures, travel, history, art, hospitality, food & dining, books, popular media (music, TV, movies, web series), feminism, LGBTQ, sustainability and climate change. For me, lifestyle is not simply about leisure or trends, but a window into how individuals and societies express themselves. It is about capturing stories that reflect values, struggles, traditions, and the evolving spirit of humanity. I have always enjoyed learning and collaborating with people active in various sectors, and I see every exchange as a chance to broaden perspectives and connect worlds.
As a journalist I have interviewed renowned personalities such as Mrs. Francesca Cartier Brickell, direct descendent of the Cartier family, international hotelier Mr. Francois Delahaye of The Dorchester Collection, Mrs. Nawaz Modi Singhania of Raymond Group and BodyArt Fitness Centre, Sara Sozzani Maino, executive editor of Vogue Italia, high profile image consultant & life coach Mrs. Chhaya Momaya, Italian sustainable fashion designer Diana Linda and Swami Prema Rajendradas, Spanish author, spiritual guru and priest of Jahanava Mandir and Ashram of Bhakti Yoga in Spain. Each interview has been an opportunity not only to ask questions but to truly listen, to discover new perspectives, and to bring out the human side of each story. These conversations have enriched me both as a journalist and as a person.
I practice journalism with an open mind and a kaleidoscopic vision. My creative mission is to empower minds with positive epiphanies. I want my readers to experience a strong sense of purpose and learning which fills them with immense enthusiasm about their potential to bring about a powerful transformation on an individual, social or global level. I believe that it is everybody’s birthright to live a lifestyle of abundant positivity and inspiration. Through my writing I aim to bring people closer to that sense of possibility, reminding them that the world is full of opportunities to grow, to reflect, and to act.
My daily reservoir of optimism flows from reading, writing, surfing YouTube, travelling and conversing with extraordinary personalities from all over the world. I also find inspiration in exploring history, architecture, and culture whenever I travel, and in observing how creativity and resilience shape communities everywhere. Each of these experiences deepens my understanding of the human spirit and strengthens my passion for sharing stories that matter.
I hope you enjoy browsing my columns and all of the unique thoughts I have to offer. Grab your coffee, take a look around; perhaps you’ll discover what fuels you as well. Read on, enjoy, and get in touch. I look forward to continuing this journey with readers who, like me, believe that words can inspire, ideas can connect, and stories can change the way we see the world.
