Miguel Coma

Miguel Coma began programming some of the first personal computers when he was ten.

In 1997, he graduated with honours as an electronics and telecommunications engineer (MSc) from Brussels' Industrial Engineering Institute (ISIB).

After two decades of professional activity in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), Miguel began researching their impacts on our climate, environment and health. He developed a network of experts in engineering, physics, biology, environmental sciences and philosophy to support his work. He writes, speaks and consults in Belgium about 5G wireless technology. Miguel collaborates with Katie Singer in writing letters about nature and technology.

Miguel Coma is challenged to discover digital products and services that respect wildlife, human health, and our climate.

Born in Brussels (Belgium) in 1973, Miguel is married with three children. He enjoys spending time with his family, exploring nature, researching science and technology, and stargazing. He believes in peoples' potential to use technology wisely and create sustainable progress.

Professional track

Miguel has worked as an embedded software engineer for broadband core Internet and access networks, as a business analyst for mobile network operators, as a functional and technical analyst in various industries, as a requirements manager, a project manager, a bid manager, an Information Technology (IT) architect, an enterprise architect, an application portfolio manager and as a coach.

After a decade in telecommunications (with two mobile network operators and an equipment manufacturer), Miguel now works as an enterprise architect in the bank-insurance sector.
