Tanya Kishore is a Paris-based fashion designer, entrepreneur, content creator, and writer whose work explores the intersection of fashion, culture, and contemporary creativity. With a background that combines business and design, she brings a unique perspective shaped by craftsmanship, storytelling, and a passion for visual expression.

Originally from India, Tanya holds a bachelor's degree in business administration and a master's degree in fashion design. Her journey into fashion began with a fascination for the way clothing can communicate identity, emotion, and culture. This passion led her to work alongside celebrated Indian designer Abhinav Mishra, whose intricate craftsmanship and modern interpretation of traditional embroidery deeply influenced her creative approach. During this experience, she developed a strong understanding of couture techniques, textile embellishment, collection development, and the importance of preserving artisanal traditions while embracing contemporary aesthetics.

Inspired to build something of her own, Tanya launched Shapes and Drapes, a womenswear label that blended modern silhouettes with traditional Indian craftsmanship. The brand catered to women seeking pieces that combined elegance with individuality, offering both Western and Indian styles. What began as a creative dream soon evolved into a thriving business that operated both online and offline.

As founder and creative director, Tanya was involved in every aspect of the label. From researching trends and developing concepts to sourcing fabrics, coordinating with embroiderers and artisans, creating technical sheets using Adobe software, managing production timelines, and overseeing marketing and digital communication, she single-handedly transformed ideas into finished collections. Running the brand for nearly two years taught her the realities of entrepreneurship and strengthened her ability to balance creativity with strategic thinking.

More importantly, it taught her that fashion extends far beyond garments; it is a language that connects people, stories, and cultures.

In 2024, Tanya moved to Paris, a city she had long admired for its artistic heritage and influence on the fashion world. Relocating to the French capital marked the beginning of a new chapter, allowing her to immerse herself in one of the most inspiring creative environments in the world. Since then, she has continued to pursue opportunities in fashion while expanding her interests into content creation, visual storytelling, and editorial writing.

Living in Paris has deepened her appreciation for the beauty found in everyday moments. Through content creation, she captures the essence of the city through fashion, lifestyle, and culture. From styling and photography to social media storytelling, Tanya enjoys creating content that reflects authenticity and contemporary aesthetics. She believes that content has the power to create emotional connections and inspire conversations beyond trends.

Her creative influences come from both heritage and innovation. She draws inspiration from Abhinav Mishra's dedication to craftsmanship and attention to detail, as well as Iris van Herpen's visionary approach to design and experimentation. She is equally fascinated by architecture, art, travel, cinema, and the ways in which different cultures express themselves through visual language. These influences shape her perspective and continuously inspire her to explore new forms of creativity.

Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, Tanya combines technical expertise with a strong visual sensibility. She is also curious about emerging technologies and the evolving relationship between artificial intelligence and creative industries. Interested in the future of image-making and digital storytelling, she enjoys exploring innovative tools that redefine how stories are conceived and shared.

At the heart of everything she does lies a simple belief: creativity is a universal language. It has the power to connect people, preserve traditions, and imagine new possibilities.
