Every journey begins with a dream, but growth comes from the courage to pursue it. Curiosity, resilience, and expansion have shaped every stage of my journey. From discovering my interests at a young age to pursuing opportunities that challenge me to grow, I have learned that success is not only measured by achievements but also by the lessons, challenges, and triumphs that shape us along the way. My story is one of continuous learning, self-discovery, and determination to become the best version of myself.

Hailing from Mozambique, I have always been aware of the range of diversity around me. Being born in the north and raised in the south set a foundational identity of continuous exploration and truly being more of an African citizen than strictly confined to borderlines. My journey has been motivated by seeking global answers, eventually leading me to pursue higher education in Berlin. Basing myself in a city created by historical and cultural prominence has urged me towards understanding the development and dynamics of the global landscape as we know it today.

Moving to Berlin refined my political and professional interests, particularly in regard to connecting passion with service – overall, I allude this to being able to have travelled around 4 continents and currently living away from the tropical warmth of Southern Africa, which has brought challenges and triumphs that have been highly rewarding to both my personal development and career.

I am currently pursuing a bachelor's in economics and politics, aiming to concentrate in politics to further explore my endeavours connected to African development trajectories through policy and diplomacy. I am drawn to pursuing post-colonial and decolonial perspectives and investigating how these frameworks can be applied in the interaction between modern states, an ever-changing world, and development prospects.

Through voicing my opinions and unique perspectives accredited to my background, I aspire to consolidate myself within a sphere of impact.

Having started my professional career early through roles involving communication, content creation, research, community empowerment, entrepreneurship and leadership – I am grateful for the skills, opportunities, and people I have met, most importantly in regard to opening myself to international communities and perspectives which allowed and continue to drive me towards continuous learning through exposure. However, this exposure has not come without its challenges, as I’ve had to consistently challenge my preconceptions, belief systems and values to match the person and professional I wanted to become: adaptable, purpose-driven, grounded, open-minded and intentional.

Having only recently started to explore writing as a form of expression, my objective is not only to build a portfolio as a professional but also to explore my creativity and how it can connect with my academic and professional pursuits. Yet, my writing journey is not without uncertainty, but I am persistent to focus on expression and improvement – not perfection.

I believe that growth begins outside of certainty. Having experienced occasions in which my goals were altered or shaped by different trajectories, I now seek spaces that challenge my interests, possibilities, and even goals – not necessarily lacking discipline or direction, but pushing my destiny far from conformity and leaning towards authenticity. Thus, I am specifically inspired by artists, as their lives are shaped by not only talent or discipline but, most importantly, using their talents to uplift others and positively contribute towards society. Sharing their worldview surely requires bravery, facing possible misperceptions or misrepresentation, yet they still strive forward.

Looking ahead, I anticipate exploring my creativity further and pursuing opportunities that inspire me to express myself often. I believe that remaining curious, adaptable, and committed to continuous improvement is the key to embracing the future. My journey is only yet unfolding.
