For his solo exhibition, multimedia and conceptual artist Landon Metz (b. 1985), based in New York, presents an installation featuring several new diptych paintings from 2025. This series advances his artistic exploration with dye color on canvas and introduces an exciting new motif: body parts. Metz will unveil these works to the public for the first time in Copenhagen through a self-curated exhibition.

The exhibition marks a significant return to Denmark, after his first solo in von Bartha’s gallery in Copenhagen in 2022, further deepening Landon’s fervent connection with the city, which has long been a place of inspiration, friendship and creativity.

In this new chapter, Metz not only reaffirms his relationship with Copenhagen, but also highlights the evolving dialogue between his practice and the cultural environment of the city. The decision to curate the exhibition himself reflects an intimate and deliberate approach, allowing him to shape the encounter between viewer and work with heightened precision. Beyond presenting new paintings, the exhibition becomes a platform for expanding his ongoing investigation into perception, repetition and materiality. It underscores his desire to blur the boundaries between artwork and environment, situating his practice within a broader conversation about how art can transform shared spaces.
