Food evokes memories, connects people and highlights social differences. With Dishcomfort, we as NOF4 collective are taking a new look at this topic. Our exhibition is the result of an open experiment: invited by the Aargauer Kunsthaus, we – a group of young people – have developed an exhibition together.
Dishcomfort shows food as a unifying element, as a biographical reference point as well as a social statement. Our exhibition further addresses issues of gender identity, social injustice and belonging through the social practices of eating.
The Comfort room offers space to relax, read and talk. A retreat in the centre of the museum that visitors help to shape. Here you can linger, exchange ideas and be active. Admission to the Comfort room is free of charge.
