The collection is composed of objects gathered by Czech academic sculptor František Foit during his 25 years in Africa.

It was renovated in 1998 and is the only collection of this kind in Slovenia. It contains chairs made from one piece of wood that the natives carry around their waist, nicely ornamented pumpkins used as vessel, different ornaments made of clay that are used for decorating the body and the vessels.

African masks and puppets are the astonishing part of the collection. Some works of František Foit and his personal belongings that he used during his research are also exhibited.
