Move over traditional gyms: Move: The Pop-Up Gym launches this month. Move was founded by AJ O’Neill, a leading London-based personal trainer, dancer and fitness instructor, out of desire to get Londoners moving through an engaging, accessible format – free from the hassle of long-term gym contracts, boring class routines and intimidating spaces.

Designed to be mobile, Move lives up to its name - traveling around London and ‘popping-up’ at some of the capital’s most inspiring and unusual locations. Launching June 9th on the stunning Roof Terrace of One New Change, Move will then transfer to the iconic Battersea Power Station on June 22nd, where it will have a weekend residency for the rest of the summer, as part of a series of events planned for its Pop-Up Park.

Of his motivations AJ says, “I created Move because I felt frustrated that the majority of my friends could not come to my local classes without committing to a gym membership. I absolutely love teaching fitness, dance fitness particularly, and am very excited to introduce London to my handpicked crew of instructors - and to show them that fitness doesn’t have to be a chore. We have created a programme of classes, specifically tailored to getting (and staying) fit whilst having fun, and appreciating this amazing this city.’

Move’s roster will include traditional yoga, Pilates, combat, dance fusion classes and Zumba, plus a series of signature classes that AJ has already piloted in top gyms across the capital. (See notes to editors for signature class details). For anyone concerned about the Great British weather, Move is committed to taking place in a variety of indoor and outdoor spaces, in order to make the classes as accessible as possible. With that in mind, Move is structured to be as dynamic and flexible as possible and promises to take on board all feedback from the public. AJ continues, “We’re going to evolve our schedule based on what people want to do and where they want to go, in order to fulfill our ambition to make exercise as fun and accessible, for as many people as possible.”.

All Move classes are £10, with no membership fees, no commitment and no guilt. Schedules, locations and further information at: and
